BARTOW, FL – Quintin Woody, a 57-year-old Bartow man and registered Florida sexual offender, was arrested following an investigation into an incident reported along State Road 60 between Mulberry and Bartow.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation began on April 11, 2026, after a truck driver reported seeing the driver of a white Nissan Rogue exposing himself while traveling eastbound on SR-60. The truck driver told deputies he looked over at the other vehicle and observed the driver engaging in inappropriate activity while behind the wheel.
The truck driver also reported seeing a large tattoo on the suspect’s forearm and provided deputies with the Nissan’s license plate number.
Detectives later identified the suspect as Woody. Investigators said the tattoo observed by the truck driver matched Woody’s forearm tattoo.
During the investigation, detectives also determined Woody had failed to disclose required information during his sexual offender registration procedures.
Woody was charged with Exposure of Sexual Organ, a first-degree misdemeanor, and six counts of Failure to Comply with Sexual Offender Registration, third-degree felonies.
